Mathieu J. H. Hansen (b.1987) is an artist working with narrative film and electronic music.

His work often draws from a collection of home videos mixed with larger cinematic constructions, weaving the personal narrative with existential themes of time and memory, the search for origin and relation to nature.

Working under the alias A Tree For My Bed, his music blends together the analog and the digital, dealing as well with similar themes of displacement and nostalgia.

Mathieu is also a co-founder of the film collective New Other Odd and holds an MFA from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He works and lives in Denmark.
